Identifies the challenges that older workers face in the labor market, describes how the U.S. public workforce system is serving them, and offers policy, program, and research recommendations aimed at improving the effectiveness of the public workforce system in serving this population based on the interviews and recommendations made through outreach to over 600 federal, state, and local workforce policymakers and practitioners.
