Presents the final results from the second phase of a study focusing on the public’s awareness of and opinions toward using New Jersey's Family Leave Insurance program and Earned Sick Leave law.
Presents the final results from the second phase of a study focusing on the public’s awareness of and opinions toward using New Jersey's Family Leave Insurance (FLI) program and Earned Sick Leave (ESL) law. It is based on a statewide survey of New Jersey workers asking questions about New Jersey’s FLI program and ESL law in Fall 2020, Spring 2021, Fall 2021, and Summer 2022. The study period overlapped the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, a policy-relevant time for understanding and using FLI and ESL in New Jersey. The findings have important implications for the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development to target its outreach plan to educate workers about the use of FLI and ESL.
