Biography

Marjory Palius is a Research Project Manager at the Heldrich Center, where she is involved in research on workforce development, education and training, and program evaluations. She also collaborates on efforts to garner additional resources to extend the center’s work on further developing NJEEDS and other key areas of research and evaluation studies. She has expertise in conducting qualitative research and in project management.

Marjory has conducted educational research at Rutgers Graduate School of Education, where she held a series of staff and non-tenured faculty positions over a 20-year period. She has served as a co-principal investigator on three grants from the National Science Foundation, and has collaborated on several other studies led by colleagues at Rutgers. Marjory’s research has examined adult learning in formal and informal settings, focusing on topics that have included teachers learning from video resources and professional development activities for doctoral-level STEM researchers. 

Marjory holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Smith College, and she earned a Master’s degree in Social and Philosophical Foundations of Education and a doctorate in Learning and Teaching from Rutgers University.
