Evaluation Assistance to New Jersey's Project ACCESS Pilot
Evaluation of a program designed to addresses the barriers to the training and employment of people with disabilities.
Between 2003 and 2006, the Heldrich Center provided evaluation assistance to the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development as part of the Project Access program. This program, funded through a federal Workforce Incentive Grant, sought to address the multiple barriers to training and employment among persons with disabilities by implementing three approaches: (1) enhanced staff training and staff development at One-Stop Career Centers; (2) providing assistive technology and enhanced accessibility assessment; and (3) pilot projects in selected New Jersey One-Stops pertaining to outreach, marketing, and/or various employment strategies.
