Pharmaceutical/medical technology and biotechnology companies in New Jersey generate substantial economic impact through capital spending, research and development expenditures, and other operating expenditures. This spending generates direct and indirect economic impacts for New Jersey in the form of employment, income, gross domestic product, and state and local tax revenues. This report estimates these impacts based on data provided by BioNJ and the HealthCare Institute of New Jersey.
