Under a contract with BCT Partners, through funding from the U.S. Department of Labor, the Heldrich Center provided technical assistance to support the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration efforts to expand the capacity of the public workforce investment system to serve persons with disabilities who are Social Security Insurance and Social Security Disability Insurance beneficiaries and promote their employment in jobs leading to economic self-sufficiency. The project activities included working with a select group of One-Stop Career Centers throughout the nation to assist them in developing technical assistance and training plans, developing and identifying training and technical assistance materials, hosting work incentive seminar events, and providing support to the Employment and Training Administration and the Social Security Administration.
