Partnering with Local Organizations and Engaging People with Disabilities to Facilitate Inclusive Healthy Communities in New Jersey

February 13, 2025

Community partnerships are crucial for working toward meaningful change for the disability community at the state, local, and municipal levels. Such partnerships are the cornerstone of the Inclusive Healthy Communities (IHC) Grant Program in New Jersey. The IHC program provides funding for grantees to create initiatives to facilitate inclusive healthy communities for people with disabilities in New Jersey. A new blog post by Grace Maruska highlights various approaches grantees employ within their communities to foster key partnerships and engage people with disabilities. While the IHC program has more than a dozen grantees every grant period, this blog post showcases the work of three grantees.
