Van Horn Participates in Multi-City Mission to Ireland

Dr. Carl Van Horn was recently part of a delegation seeking to increase and advance economic ties between New Jersey and Ireland. 

Dr. Carl Van Horn, Director of the Heldrich Center and a Distinguished Professor of Public Policy at Rutgers University, was recently part of a delegation seeking to increase and advance economic ties between New Jersey and Ireland. Led by Choose New Jersey, the delegation held meetings in Dublin, Cork, and Galway, including roundtable discussions with key Irish industry leaders and local Chambers of Commerce. The delegation also visited Health Innovation Hub Ireland, a joint Irish government initiative between the business and health sectors. Additionally, the delegation visited University College Cork and National University of Ireland, Galway to announce new collaborations between both universities and Rutgers University. Rutgers’ Food Sciences programs will be collaborating with University College Cork, while Rutgers and National University of Ireland, Galway will be partnering on complementary medical device programs. The delegation included nearly 20 representatives from education, finance, development, and health care.
