Black Economy, Racial Uplift and New Negro Movements, Migration, Urbanization

Dr. Anton D. House obtained a Doctoral of Philosophy in United States History from Howard University in 2019. He also holds a Masters of the Arts degree in U.S. History from Howard and a Bachelor of the Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin- Parkside in History. Dr. House’s research centers on late nineteenth and early twentieth century United States History. Among his research areas of interest are the Black Economy, Racial Uplift and New Negro Movements, African American Benevolent, Fraternal, and Mutual Aid Societies, migration, and urbanization. He is also a Faculty Policy Fellow at the Heldrich Center.
