This report draws on data from the New Jersey Statewide Data System spanning the 2013–14 to 2023–24 school years to analyze the current state of New Jersey’s educator workforce. Findings are organized thematically to examine the teacher workforce, patterns of teacher exits and future projections, teacher supply and demand, and a case study exploring employment held by teachers outside the education sector. The report concludes with a summary of key findings and implications for policy and practice.
