New Jersey has ensured stakeholders from all areas of the state a seat at the table for the P-20W State Longitudinal Data System through a strong executive body composed of partner agencies and an active data steward committee that provides key insights into specific data elements. Externally, an advisory committee with partners from all longitudinal data systems in the state reduces duplication of efforts and improves collaboration. This presentation offered an overview of the New Jersey Education to Earnings Data System, its data sources and initiatives, and its internal and external governance structure. It also examined the system’s benefits and challenges.
