In collaboration with the New Jersey Department of Human Services’ Division of Family Development, Dr. Andrea Hetling is leading this work that aims to support and participate in the growth of data analytics and research capacity at the Division of Family Development with a focus on improving services and recipient outcomes. The research team is building longitudinal data files of the administrative Division of Family Development benefits data and analyzing these new files to understand the long-term service experiences and income trajectories of benefit recipients. Currently, the team is examining instances of program churn in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program caseload, with a focus on understanding program-relevant risk factors. This project is funded by the New Jersey Department of Human Services.
