The Newark Opportunity Youth Network requested that the Heldrich Center conduct a comprehensive analysis of the youth workforce development system in New Jersey. The project culminated in report in May 2022 entitled, Funding Streams for Opportunity Youth. The report summarizes the literature around available funding for youth workforce development and the programs serving opportunity youth, or youth who are neither in school nor working. The report sheds light on the possibilities and pitfalls for more coordinated provision of youth services in New Jersey.
