On behalf of New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy, the Heldrich Center conducted a survey of over 3,500 New Jersey business and nonprofit leaders to assess the COVID-19 pandemic’s impact on their organizations and explore their views on reopening the state economy. The survey found that the business and nonprofit communities understood the public health risks caused by COVID-19 and that they were ready to take the steps necessary to ensure the safety of customers and workers. However, many were concerned about the possibility of a second wave of the virus and the ramifications it might have. The results of the survey were reported in three data briefs. The non-probability, online survey was distributed in both English and Spanish to New Jersey business and nonprofit decision-makers, leaders, and owners.
