The New Jersey state legislature recently passed a law to form a commission to examine the efficacy of the Tuition Aid Grant (TAG) program, which is a state need-based grant program for New Jersey residents. As part of the TAG Evaluation Commission research, the Heldrich Center was tasked by the Higher Education Student Assistance Authority (HESAA) with replicating the graduation rates that HESAA collects from all institutions individually online. The purpose of this activity was to have a uniform method of calculation to compare across institutions. The overall goal of this work is to reduce the burden on institutions providing data and to provide accurate outcome measures for students obtaining this grant.
