The Heldrich Center has been engaged by the New Jersey Climate Change Resource Center at the Bloustein School to assist with the development of the 2026-2027 status update for the workforce planning analysis in the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection’s Comprehensive Climate Action Plan. The Comprehensive Climate Action Plan serves as New Jersey’s overarching strategy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions across multiple key sectors, with the goal of achieving an 80% reduction by 2050. The Heldrich Center completed the workforce planning analysis in 2025, a critical component of the Comprehensive Climate Action Plan that identified workforce development strategies aligned with and supporting action to realize New Jersey’s climate priorities. The Heldrich Center is now working on a status update to the workforce planning analysis, which will focus on developments achieved across state agencies since the release of the Action Plan. This work will conclude in summer 2027.
