James Moore Joins Heldrich Center’s National Advisory Board
The Heldrich Center is pleased to announce that Dr. James Moore, Partner at KPMG in Washington, D.C., is joining the Center’s National Advisory Board.
The Heldrich Center is pleased to announce that Dr. James Moore, Partner at KPMG in Washington, D.C., is joining the Center’s National Advisory Board.
Prior to his current position at KPMG, Dr. Moore held senior positions in the public sector in labor economics at the federal, state, and local levels. He joined KPMG from IMPAQ International, where as a Senior Vice President, he managed a multi-million-dollar portfolio, including projects with federal, state, and local agencies. He directed an interdisciplinary team of economists, data scientists, and technologists who helped agencies to improve program performance.
“James Moore has a well-earned reputation as one of the nation’s most experienced and accomplished analysts and managers of workforce development policies and programs. We are honored that he agreed to serve as an advisor to the Heldrich Center,” said Dr. Carl Van Horn, Distinguished Professor of Public Policy at Rutgers University and Director of the Center.
Dr. Moore has held a wide range of public service positions, including Deputy Assistant Secretary for the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of the Assistant Secretary for Policy; Deputy Director and Chief Economist for the District of Columbia’s Department of Employment Services; Deputy Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development; and Labor Economist for the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and the Social Security Administration.
Dr. Moore is retired Lieutenant Colonel of the U.S. Army Reserves where he served for over 25 years, including in the Iraq War. He is a recipient of the Bronze Star.
