Program Design and Development
The Heldrich Center regularly works with clients to design and develop a variety of programs. Examples include:
- The design, development, and management of a program that will expand training opportunities for certified home health aides in New Jersey. The program, which is set to launch in the fall of 2024, will offer a scholarship program; a mentoring program for young adults, immigrants, and refugees; and a specialized training program for current home health aides working with clients with dementia and/or significant mental and behavioral health issues.
- The design and development of the New Start Career Network, a program that assisted over 6,000 long-term unemployed, older workers from New Jersey by providing free one-on-one and group coaching, job fairs, webinars, and an array of other services to support older job seekers in challenging times.
- The development and coordination of a program that provided employment assistance to individuals who lost their jobs because of the terrorist attacks of September 2001. Through the program, more than 11,000 dislocated workers received job and career counseling, training, English language classes, and income support.
