Mavzuna R. Turaeva is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Heldrich Center for Workforce Development at Rutgers University’s Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy. She recently completed her Ph.D. in Public Policy (Economics track) at Duke University, where her dissertation research focused on inequalities in educational outcomes and school resource disparities.

Her work lies at the intersection of education policy, labor economics, and applied quantitative methods. More recently, her research has focused on teacher labor markets and workforce development, including teacher workforce disparities using large-scale administrative and longitudinal data systems.

Dr. Turaeva has extensive experience in applied policy research and quantitative data analysis. Her methodological expertise includes causal inference, quasi-experimental methods, longitudinal data analysis, survey design, and statistical programming in Stata, R, SQL, and GIS-based spatial analysis.
