Carl Van Horn was quoted in a recent Huffington Post article about the challenges of the job search for workers over the age of 50, including the implications of artificial intelligence and applicant tracking systems.
Brittney Donovan and Jessica Starace recently participated in the American Association for Public Opinion Research’s annual conference. The theme of the 2024 conference was “Impacting Communities: Surveys, Public Opinion Research, and Engaged Scholarship.” They presented two posters about recent Heldrich Center survey research and qualitative methods projects, including the center’s A Workplace Divided project.
Finally, a recent NEXTGOV/FCW article examines New Jersey’s new application for unemployment claims. The article features remarks from Michele Evermore, who conducted a Heldrich Center study in 2023 about New Jersey’s Unemployment Insurance modernization efforts.
