Ready and Able: Introduction

Provides the introduction to a national research study on employer and market-driven initiatives to recruit, hire, train, and retain people with disabilities.

To support its work, the NTAR Leadership Center conducted a national research study on employer and market-driven initiatives to recruit, hire, train, and retain people with disabilities entitled, “Ready and Able: Addressing Labor Market Needs and Building Productive Careers for People with Disabilities – Models for Innovation.” Using a case-study approach, researchers selected 13 diverse examples of partnerships from around the nation and, over the course of six months interviewed and visited leaders and practitioners at the heart of these business-public collaborations. This document provides the introduction to the study report.
